Living a middle-class life comes with its own set of challenges. Let’s break down the five different stages that a middle-class person typically goes through in their life.
👉 Childhood Journey:
In our early years, we learn to compromise on even the smallest things. Often, we don’t have access to many toys or the best ones to play with.
👉 School to College Journey:
We go through school with limited resources, including uniforms. The pressure to fulfill family expectations often hinders us from exploring our interests freely.
👉 College to Corporate Journey:
After completing college, there’s pressure to secure a job, no matter what it is. Families invest a significant amount (6–7 lakhs for many middle-class families) for education, only to end up with jobs that may not be fulfilling, and often pay a modest salary.
👉 Corporate to Passion Journey:
Only a small percentage of people manage to transition to a career aligned with their passion. Many individuals may not even be aware of their passion or consider alternatives beyond traditional jobs.
👉 Passion to Business Journey:
Very few people succeed in building a business around their passion. Contrary to common belief, this journey is not as difficult as it seems. Knowing your passion makes it easier to create a business. It’s about recognizing what you love and turning it into a career.
Once someone reaches this stage, life for a middle-class person tends to improve. These are the individuals who have dreams, dedication, and determination. They are focused and have something extraordinary within them.
For those born into a business family, the path might seem easier, as they only need to take over the family business after college. However, a middle-class person who lives a fulfilled life has likely faced numerous challenges and conquered these five journeys.
Currently, I’m working on simplifying the college-to-corporate journey, especially for those struggling in our middle-class communities.
