I have seen people crying, “I didn’t get a placement from my college. How will I get a job?” Instead of focusing on developing skills, people waste time crying and criticizing their colleges. The colleges don’t perform any magic to get placements. The students who get selected from college are serious about their careers. Even if they didn’t get a placement from their college, they will definitely get a good job on their own based on the skills they developed within themselves.
Placement! Placement! Placement!
Are you someone who is crying, “I didn’t get a placement”?
Are you someone who is hoping for a placement from college?
Are you someone who is afraid and scared about how to get a placement?
That means you didn’t develop skills within yourself and now you are hoping for your college or someone else to get you a placement.
Why do people hope for a placement? Why?
Have you thought about it?
During college days, students do not focus on their studies. On the other hand, colleges just complete their formality and provide a degree after three or four years. Yes, the colleges try to get placements for a few students to showcase that their children get good placements in good companies.
Why don’t colleges think to provide placement for all students?
Why do a few students get placements but not others?
The students who got placed were more serious during their college days while others were not.
Colleges didn’t perform any magic to provide a placement. Those students deserved it because they developed the necessary skills. Even if they didn’t get a placement from the college, they will definitely get a good job on their own. Because they were well-prepared for interviews, they developed enough confidence to crack an interview.
I didn’t use any reference or placement in my career journey, but I worked in 9–10 organizations without any reference. I prepared myself in such a way that I cracked and got selected by multiple organizations.
So, don’t wait for someone to help you get a placement or hope that a reference will help you get a job. The job you get based on your own confidence and skills will be much more satisfying than one obtained through a reference.
Don’t depend or wait for anyone. Just focus on developing skill sets and building your personal brand so that companies seek you out for a good job.
What do you think?
