What Are Your Dreams...
What Are Your Dreams...

Belonging to a small farmer’s family and living in a good society with good people are big dreams for a middle-class person. When I came to Delhi, I started my career as a junior software developer. But I had big dreams of becoming a senior leader, crossing all the designations like Senior Software Engineer, Lead, Senior Lead, Manager, Senior Manager, and then Senior Director of Engineering. Is that not a big achievement for a middle-class person who hasn’t seen a college in reality?

What are you dreams in your career or in your life?

Have you dream something in your career and achieved?

I fulfilled my dreams whatever I saw in my career and life.

Having dreams is not a bad thing.

When you start dreaming, imagination and creativity are born inside you.

The moment you start imagining something, a burning desire is born. To fulfill your dreams, you have to fuel your burning desire every day. If you stop giving fuel to your burning desire, your dreams will remain just wishes.

You have to fuel your burning desire every day, just like you eat food every day to stay healthy and fit. In the same way, to keep your burning desire and dreams alive, you have to give fuel to your burning desire every day until it becomes a strong desire.

Once your burning desire becomes a strong desire, it’s time to take continuous action. Without action, you can’t convert your dreams into reality.

It depends on you how big the dreams you see for yourself are. Accordingly, you will start imagining.

I fulfilled all my dreams, from being part of a small farmer’s family to living a quality life in a metro city. Still, I am dreaming big. I aim to live at least 40–50 more years and have big plans to achieve in my remaining life. 1.5 years ago, I just started my journey. I have a long way to go.

My advice to my junior brothers and sisters is if you really want to grow or achieve in your career or life, start dreaming big. Set your personal goals and targets; otherwise, you will not reach anywhere, my friend.

I have seen a lot of people working in the same position in the same organization for a long time. They are just surviving and feeding their families, not doing much beyond that. I feel bad when I interact with these people and listen to their stories. How they are struggling. Just having a job is not enough, my friend. You deserve better than this, whatever you are doing. If you can do better, why shouldn’t you?
