“SOLVE A PROBLEM VIA ITERATION THEN GET PAID VIA REPETITION”
I found this quote today while reading the book “The Almanack of Naval Ravikant.”
Don’t you think it’s powerful?
No problem can be solved in one go. If you try to solve any problem in one go, there will be chances of errors. If you really want to solve a problem fundamentally, you have to solve it through iterations.
What do you understand?
Don’t try to solve a problem in one go; rather, try to solve it through iterations. You can definitely solve a problem fundamentally this way.
Once you’ve solved a problem fundamentally, it’s time to repeat it. You will be paid for it through repetitions.
One of the major problems I found while working with startups is that they build good products and services but are not able to repeat them.
That’s the reason most startups are struggling. Building a product or service is not a big deal, but marketing, selling, and repeating those products or services play an important role. It doesn’t matter what your background is, where you graduated from, or what kinds of companies or people you have worked with. The really important thing is how you execute things in your startup.
Instead of focusing on execution, startups often build their products or services to show off to investors to get more and more funding. What I understand is that they just want to get rich or social status. They want to become unicorns, apply for IPOs, and earn more money from the public by fooling them and returning the investors’ money.
Their intention is not to solve a problem for society. The startups that are not in the race to become unicorns are doing well. They are at least earning the salaries of their employees. If a startup, after a decade, is unable to earn the salaries of its employees, what should we call it?
You can understand what I mean. So, my humble request to startup owners is please focus on solving a problem rather than getting more and more funding. If you get funding 2-3 times, it’s enough. Now you should focus on solving the problem rather than running in the race to become unicorns. If you really want to solve human problems, otherwise, stop showing off or fooling people.
My intention is not to hurt anyone. I am really sorry if anyone is hurt by my post’s contents, but these are my thoughts which I am sharing with all of you. Your thoughts might be different.
