Title not define respect
Title not define respect

Does title define respect?

What do you think?

Have you ever noticed how often people are respected based on their title or designation?

But why is that?

Should respect really be tied to someone’s job title?

I believe that respect should be given to everyone—whether they are a fresher, an experienced professional, a director, or a CEO. Unfortunately, in the corporate world, respect is often based on titles.

Imagine someone joining your team with more experience but in a lower position. You might assume things about them without knowing their story. Maybe they took that position out of necessity, or perhaps they’re transitioning into a new field. But does that mean they deserve less respect?

Absolutely not.

In fact, I’ve seen that those who join in lower positions often perform exceptionally well—sometimes even better than those with higher titles and bigger salaries.

It’s time to shift this mindset.

Everyone deserves respect, regardless of their title.

What are your thoughts?

I’d love to hear your perspective in the comments.
